Authentication & authorization
Separate identity from permission decisions and restrict privileged actions to the roles and contexts that need them.
Thonem implementations can be designed with layered controls across customer requests, administrative access, provider callbacks, infrastructure and operational tooling.
Security controls depend on the deployment and hosting environment. Thonem does not claim a certification simply because an application follows good engineering practices.
Separate identity from permission decisions and restrict privileged actions to the roles and contexts that need them.
Keep sensitive payment handling within approved provider flows and minimize the application data that needs to touch the commerce stack.
Validate source authenticity where supported, defend against replay, use idempotency and reject malformed callbacks before business processing.
Keep credentials outside source code, scope them narrowly and rotate or revoke them when access changes.
Validate untrusted data, encode output appropriately and apply framework protections consistently.
Use HTTPS, secure headers, least privilege, monitored workers, patching and controlled production access as part of the deployment baseline.
Compliance requirements such as PCI DSS, privacy obligations or industry standards depend on the merchant, providers, hosting model, geography and implementation scope. They should be assessed explicitly for each deployment rather than inferred from the Thonem name.
Brightery can map the architecture, integration boundaries and rollout plan for a Thonem implementation without forcing the business into a generic platform model.
